Day 1

We meet at Irkutsk airport and ride to the lake shore in Slyudyanka village (3 hours).
We go up to the camp to Hamar-Daban hydrometeorological station (HMS) (4 hours). The route is easy, the trail is laid out, there is a cable stretched on the ridge. We settle in camp and have a rest.

Day 2

Climbing the Peak Chersky (2090 meters), from there we will go down to Lake Heart, where you can swim, if the weather allows. Then we'll go to the waterfalls on the Podkomarnaya River and go back to the camp for HMS.
The total for the day is about 20 kilometers.

Day 3

We go back to Slyudyanka, and from there we go to Anchuk village.

Day 4-5

Then a 2-days rafting on the Middle Irkut River on catamarans. It is the most accessible and moderately extreme route in the Irkutsk region, which is about 120 km long. This rafting is suitable for participants who have no experience in river rafting. Thresholds are of 2-3 categories of difficulty.
2 nights in tents. In the evening of the second day arrival in the village Shamanka, transfer to the village Listvyanka on the shore of Lake Baikal (120km, 2.5h en route). Accommodation at the hotel.

Day 6

On this day we'll visit the Baikal museum, go up to the observation deck Kamen Chersky, take a boat trip to Circum-Baikal railway, visit the largest fish and souvenir market on Baikal. Night at the hotel.

Day 7

Transfer on a regular ferry to Olkhon Island (300km, 4 hours). Accommodation in a guest house/hotel. Walk to Shamanka rock - the trademark of Baikal. Rest and bathing in the Little Sea strait (the water here is warmer than in open Baikal).
Dinner in café-poznaya. In the evening at the fire there is a meeting with a real Buryat shaman.

Day 8

A speedboat crossing the Strait of the Little Sea with a visit to Ogoi Island, where the Buryat Buddhists established the Enlightenment Stup in 2005. Arrival in Khuzhir-Nuga Bay.
Then we will move on quad bikes and go on a 5-hours journey along the amazing Tazheran steppes. On the way we will visit the delta of the river Tonta, salt lakes, huge rocky capes, from where you can enjoy a magnificent view of Lake Baikal, as well as go down to the cave Dream or Aya with experienced speleologists.
In the evening transfer to Irkutsk and hotel accommodation. If you wish we'll take a walk with a guide in Irkutsk at night.

Day 9

Check out of the hotel and transfer to the airport.

How do I choose the right flight?
A flight from Moscow costs from 15 000 Euros. Before buying, be sure to agree on the date and time of arrival with me, we will together find the most convenient and profitable way to fly.
How is the weather on Baikal in August?
August is the best time to visit Baikal. The water is warm so, you can swim and rain rarely. In the morning and evening the air temperature is +20 ... +30 °С, and water up to +20 °С.
Do I need to buy an insurance?
Insurance is compulsory to get Russian visa. Insurance for extreme sports and against tick-borne encythalitis will be issued for all participants.
What about food?
The tour price includes 3 meals a day. Snacks will be organized during the trekking in the mountains, and when staying in tents we cook at the campfire.
Where will we live?
During the trekking and rafting we live 4 nights in tents. Then we spend the night in guest houses and hotels. The conditions of accommodation and description of hotels will be published in May 2020.
